You can call or email us or book a face-to-face meeting to get advice on building matters including:
- building regulatory advice
- concerns with dangerous structures and compliance
- dispensations to building regulatory matters (report and consent)
- places of public entertainment
- protection to the public (building work).
We do not offer a building permit service
Please engage a private building surveyor after you have prepared the documentation required for a building permit (such as architectural drawings and specifications).

No appointment?
While we will do our very best to see you if you drop into the customer service centre without an appointment, it is best to book a time to ensure a staff member can meet with you – we are often unavailable due to scheduled meetings/inspections or emergency events.
