When you need a permit to film
The information on this page relates to commercial filming, including television, feature films, advertising and television commercials, documentaries and music videos.
Cardinia Shire is a scenic and film-friendly location, however there are some regulations in place to maintain a balance between commercial needs and the local amenity of residents and businesses.
Apply for a filming permit
Most commercial filming activities will require a permit for the use of a public space. Please apply at least 3 weeks before the proposed start date for filming, to allow time for processing.

Fees
No fees apply when submitting the application form, however you may incur fees when the application is assessed, for example when the application includes works within a road reserve.
