Anzac Day events in Cardinia Shire

Anzac Day is a time for our community to come together to remember and honour the service and sacrifice of Australian and New Zealand servicemen and women.

On this page you can find details of Anzac Day services happening in towns across the shire, including dates, times and locations, to help you plan how you will commemorate Anzac Day this year. 

These events are supported by Council's Festival and Events Grant Program

ANZAC memorial services 2026

Beaconsfield 

Date: Saturday 25 April 2026
Time: N/A
Venue: Bonette Reserve Beaconsfield War Memorial (Woods Street, Beaconsfield, 3807)

The Beaconsfield Anzac Memorial Service is organised by the Beaconsfield Progress Association Inc. each year on the Sunday before Anzac Day. There is usually a march, flag raising, Piper, Recorder ensemble, choir, and a bugler.

Beaconsfield Upper

Venue: Cenotaph Upper Beaconsfield

The Beaconsfield Upper memorial service is organised by the Returned Services Leage and will hold a ANZAC Day service 

Officer

Date: Saturday 25 April 2026
Time: 5:45am for a 6am start
Venue: Rob Porter Recreation Reserve Memorial Gates, Cnr Starling Road & Princes Highway, Officer

The Officer memorial service is organised by the Officer & District Community Association and will be followed by breakfast with tea and coffee provided.

Emerald 

Date: Saturday 25 April 2026
Time: Dawn service at 5am, followed by a 10:30am march and an 11am service.
Venue: Anzac Place, 3 Memorial Avenue, Emerald 3782

Badge sales commence 2 weeks prior to Anzac Day. As does the laying of poppies all over Emerald. Anzac Day itself starts at 5am with the dawn service. The Mayor will be invited to lay a wreath. Then at 10.30am the march starts in town culminating in the service at 11am at Anzac Place. Then in the afternoon all are invited to the RSL for Two-Up and refreshments.
