Annual Good Choices Awards

Nominations for the Annual Good Choices Awards hosted by Cardinia Shire Council Youth Services are open until 7 August 2026.

The Good Choices Awards recognise young people aged 12-25 who have demonstrated resilience, kindness, and strength in their decision making throughout 2026.

This might look like:

  1. Prioritising study
  2. Applying for a job
  3. Making informed choices about their health and safety
  4. Accessing support networks even when it’s difficult
  5. Prioritising themselves, life goals and aspirations
  6. Choosing to spend time with good people
  7. Engaging in school/returning to study with confidence

Nominated young people will be recognised at this invitation-only event at the Cardinia Cultural Centre on Tuesday 22 September 2026. For further information about the Good Choices Awards contact Youth Services on 18004YOUTH or email myplace@cardinia.vic.gov.au

Anyone from the community is able to nominate a young person. Very different to Australia Day Awards.

The Good Choice Awards are supported by the Victorian Government
