On this page you can find details of Anzac Day services happening in towns across the shire, including dates, times and locations, to help you plan how you will commemorate Anzac Day this year.

Anzac memorial services 2026
The following Anzac Day events are supported by Council's Festivals and Events Grants Program:
Beaconsfield
Date: Sunday 19 April 2026
Time: 2pm
Venue: Bonette Reserve Beaconsfield War Memorial (Woods Street, Beaconsfield, 3807)
The Beaconsfield Anzac Memorial Service is organised by the Beaconsfield Progress Association Inc. each year on the Sunday before Anzac Day.
Beaconsfield Upper
Date: Saturday 25 April 2026
Time: 11am
Venue: Cenotaph Upper Beaconsfield
The Beaconsfield Upper memorial service is organised by the Returned Services League.
Officer
Date: Saturday 25 April 2026
Time: 5:45am for a 6am start
Venue: Rob Porter Recreation Reserve Memorial Gates, Cnr Starling Road and Princes Highway, Officer.
The Officer memorial service is organised by the Officer and District Community Association and will be followed by breakfast with tea and coffee provided.
Emerald
Date: Saturday 25 April 2026
Time: Dawn service at 5am, followed by a 10:30am march and an 11am service.
Venue: Anzac Place, 3 Memorial Avenue, Emerald 3782
Badge sales commence two weeks prior to Anzac Day, along with the laying of poppies all over Emerald. Anzac Day starts at 5am with the dawn service. The march starts in town at 10:30am, followed by the service at 11am at Anzac Place.

Garfield

Venue: Main Street Cenotaph, Garfield
Bunyip
Date: Saturday 25 April 2026
Time: 1:45pm
Venue: Main Street Cenotaph, Bunyip
Bunyip RSL sub-branch will be conducting commemoration services in both Garfield and Bunyip. After the Bunyip Service, locals are invited to march behind the Cardinia Civic Concert Band towards the Bunyip Hall where refreshments will be made available.
Pakenham
Date: Saturday 25 April 2026
Time: 25 April, 5:45am – 7:00am
Venue: Pakenham Cenotaph, Corner of John and Henry Street, Pakenham VIC 3810
Tynong
Date: Saturday 25 April 2026
Time: Service commences at 10.30am
Venue: Tynong Memorial - Railway Ave, Tynong
Welcoming a guest speaker from the Australian Defence Force, along with the catafalque Party standing guard during the service. Following the service, please bring a small plate to share &
stay for morning tea.
Nar Nar Goon
Date: Saturday 25 April 2026
Time: 25 April, 6:00am – 6:30am
Venue: Nar Nar Goon RSL Memorial Park, Corner of Main Street and Carney Street, Nar Nar Goon VIC 3812
Koo Wee Rup
Date: Saturday 25 April 2026
Time: 25 April, 5:30am, march form up at 5:45am
Venue: Avenue of Honour, Koo Wee Rup VIC 3981 and March down to Cenotaph in Cochrane Park, Rossiter Road, Koo Wee Rup VIC 3981 where the dawn service will be held.
Starting with a march forming up at 5:30am (for a 5:45am step-off) at the Avenue of Honour, Koo Wee Rup, marching to the Cenotaph in Cochrane Park, Rossiter Road, followed by a Dawn Service at 6:00am and a Gunfire Breakfast after the service.
Lang Lang
Date: Saturday 25 April 2026
Time: 5:55 am - 6:30 am
Venue: Lang Lang RSL Sub-Branch – 5 Westernport Rd, Lang Lang, VIC 3984
There will be a gunfire breakfast following the service.
Cockatoo
Date: Saturday 25 April 2026
Time: 25 April, 6:00 am - 11:30 pm
Venue: 20 Belgrave-Gembrook Rd Cockatoo VIC 3781
Dawn Service will begin at 6am, followed by a Gunfire Breakfast, a 10.20am march from the Primary School to the RSL with a flyover (weather permitting), a 10.30am service, then a BBQ, with the kitchen open from 11am–2pm and 5–7pm, followed by two-up and live music
Gembrook
Date: Saturday 25 April 2026
Time: 25 April, 6:00 am - 4:00 pm
Venue: Remembrance Park cnr Pakenham and Redwood Road, Gembrook, VIC 3783
A Dawn Service will begin from 6:00–6:30am at Remembrance Park (corner of Pakenham and Redwood Roads) followed by a Gunfire Breakfast from 6:30–9:00am at the Gembrook RSL, an ANZAC March forming up on the vacant block at the corner of Redwood Road and Main Street and stepping off at 11:00am, and concluding with luncheon from 12:00–4:00pm at the Gembrook RSL Sub-Branch
