Apply to display advertising signs for community events
You need a permit
You need a permit to put up temporary advertising signs for community events on land in Cardinia Shire that is owned or managed by Council.
Signs can only be placed in certain locations. This is necessary to reduce the risk of distraction to passing motorists and to ensure that our surroundings look attractive and not too cluttered.
Locations where signs can be placed
You can apply for a permit to display temporary advertising signs for community events at a number of sites in the Hills area (in Avonsleigh, Cockatoo, Gembrook and Emerald),
These sites provide good exposure and promotional opportunities.
Future locations around the rest of the shire are yet to be determined.
Permit application fee: $20 (per form, maximum 2 locations per form).
What you need to provide with your application
- A picture of the design artwork for the sign.
- Map of proposed locations (for applications to display signage in areas other than the Hills, map/s of intended locations must be supplied).
- Proof of Public Liability Insurance (at least $20,000,000).
You can apply up to 4 months before and no later than 2 weeks before the event.
Allow up to 3 weeks for your application to be processed.
