Winter Teenage School Holiday Program 2026

About the program

  • Our Teenage School Holiday Program is open to young people aged 12 to 17 years.
  • Activities are held across Cardinia Shire during the school holidays. Most activities are low cost or free.
  • If transport is a barrier to your participation, please contact Cardinia Youth Services to discuss.
  • Bookings for all activities are essential. Please book using the online form.

My Place Youth Facility is open for reduced hours during school holidays, from 1pm to 5pm.

Week 1 activities

Wednesday 1 July, 2026 - Movie and Popcorn   

Location: My Place Youth Centre, 5-7 Main Street Pakenham
Time: 1.30 – 4pm
Cost: Free
What to bring: Rock your favourite PJs Oodie or comfiest clothes and get ready for the ultimate cosy movie day!
What will be provided:  Hot chocolate and snacks will be provided for this activity. 
Additional Information:  Get comfy and settle in for a cosy afternoon of special hot chocolate, pop-corn and a great PG rated movie with your mates.
 

Thursday 2 July, 2026 - Comic Workshop with Dean Rankine

Location: My Place Youth Centre 5-7 Main Street Pakenham  
Time:  2 - 4pm
Cost: $5.00
What to bring:  Bring your imagination and get ready to sketch, create and bring your comic ideas to life
What will be provided:  Snacks and water will be provided
Additional Information:  Dean has worked on popular comics including The Simpsons, Rick and Morty, and more and now he’s bringing his skills to you! Come and join us at My Place for an afternoon of fun!

Week 2 activities

Tuesday 7 July, 2026 - VR Winter-verse  

Location: My Place Youth Centre,  5-7 Main Street Pakenham  
Time: 1:30pm - 3:30pm
Cost: $5
What to bring: Bring yourself, your curiosity and get ready to enter the VR inter-verse.
What will be provided: Water and Snacks will be provided for this activity.
Additional Information: Wear closed shoes and comfy clothes so you are ready to move, play and dive into the VR action.

Thursday 9 July, 2026 - Mario Kart Tournament

Location: My Place Youth Centre,  5-7 Main Street Pakenham 
Time: 1:30pm-3:30pm
Cost: Free
What to bring: Bring your energy, good vibes, and a winning attitude, whether you are here to dominate the track or just have a laugh, it is all about fast karts, fun chaos, and a little friendly competition.
What will be provided: Water and Snacks will be provided
Additional Information: Wear your Favorite Mario Kart Tshirt or outfit for an extra prize!

Friday 10 July, 2026 - Trivia Afternoon

Location: Pakenham Library - Cnr John St &, Henry St, Pakenham VIC 3810
Time: 2-5pm
Cost: Free
What to bring: Fly solo or bring your crew, round up your team or join one on the day! Get ready for some friendly competition and see who will take the crown as the ultimate trivia master
What will be provided: Water & Snacks will be provided.
Additional Information: Got a fun trivia question or topic (maybe your team’s secret weapon!)  Send it through, we are keen! Cool prizes to be won
