Teenage School Holiday Program for April 2024 - Autumn

  • Our Teenage School Holiday program is open to young people aged 12 to 17 years.
  • Activities are held across Cardinia Shire during the school holidays. Most activities are low cost or free.
  • Transport to and from some activities from selected locations may be available. Please contact My Place Youth Centre for further information.
  • Bookings for all activities are essential. Please book using the online form.

My Place Youth Facility is open for reduced hours during school holidays, from 1pm to 5pm.

 

Tuesday 2 April – Pickleball

  • Cost:  Free
  • Location:  My Place, 5 – 7 Main St Pakenham
  • Time: 1:30 – 3:30pm
  • What to bring: Sneakers, runners or appropriate footwear, comfortable and appropriate clothing, a hat and a friendly competitive spirit.

Wednesday 3 April – Luna Park                                                                                    

  • Cost:  $28
  • Location:  18 Lower Esplanade St Kilda
  • Time:  10am - 4:30pm

Meeting point

My Place Youth Centre 5–7 Main St Pakenham

  • Participants will be travelling by private bus for this activity.
  • Please be at the My Place Youth Centre, by 9.30am for check in.  
  •  The bus will be leaving at 10am sharp, don’t be late or you’ll miss your ride.

What to bring

  • A hat and suitable footwear - there will be a lot of walking for this activity. 
  • A packed lunch or money to buy your lunch at Luna Park.
  • A bottle of water or a drink

Thursday 4 April – UNO Tournament

  • Cost:  Free
  • Location:  My Place, 5 – 7 Main St Pakenham
  • Time: 1:30 – 3:30pm
  • What to bring: Yourself or a team of friends with a fun and competitive spirit

Tuesday 9 April – Op-Shopping   

  • Cost:  Free
  • Location:  Various Locations
  • Time: 10:30am – 3:30pm

  •  Buses will be leaving at 10.30am sharp, don’t be late or you’ll miss your ride.

What to bring

  • A packed lunch or money to buy your lunch. A bottle of water or a drink.
  • Comfortable shoes for walking and money to buy some treasures.

Wednesday 10 April – Professional Comic Book Workshop - Dean Rankine

  • Cost:  $5
  • Location:  My Place, 5 – 7 Main St Pakenham
  • Time: 1:30 – 3:00pm

What to bring

  • Your creative flare, and your own sketch book and tools if you want.
  • A4 paper, pencils, coloured pencils and drawing tools will be provided if you don’t have your own.

Thursday 11 April – Cooking

  • Cost: $5
  • Location:  My Place, 5–7 Main St Pakenham
  • Time: 1.30 – 3.30pm

What to bring

  • A container in case there are leftovers.
  • This activity can get messy so please wear appropriate clothing, we will also be in the kitchen so closed toes shoes must be worn, no open toed shoes to be worn.                        
  •  Please tie hair back.
