Summer Teenage School Holiday Program 2026

About the program

  • Our Teenage School Holiday program is open to young people aged 12 to 17 years.
  • Activities are held across Cardinia Shire during the school holidays. Most activities are low cost or free.
  • If transport is a barrier to your participation, please contact Cardinia Youth Services to discuss.
  • Bookings for all activities are essential. Please book using the online form.

My Place Youth Facility is open for reduced hours during school holidays, from 1pm to 5pm.

Week 1 activities

Tuesday 13 - Decko's and Fandom 

Cost: Free
Location: Pakenham Library, Cnr of John and Henry Street Pakenham    
Time: 2pm  – 4pm
What to bring:  Creatvie flare and sense of FUN! 
What will be provided: Asian inspired snacks and water will be provided
Additional Information:
Are you into K-pop, demon hunters, Pokémon, anime/manga, music or another fandom interest?
Do you like making bracelets or decorating trading card holders?
Join us for a FUN afternoon designing your very own Top Loader case for your favourite cards, along with friendship bracelet making.
A fun afternoon with music, food and creativity.


Wednesday 14 - Australian Open Tennis Day

Cost: $20
Location: Melbourne Park, Olympic Blvd Melbourne 
Time: 11am – 3.30pm
What to bring: Sensible footwear and Sun Smart clothing for a long day of walking around and being in the sun, a hat, and water.  
What will be provided: Bring a packed lunch or money to buy lunch at the venue. Don’t forget water or a drink 
Additional Information:
Transport will be provided for this event
Meeting Point:  My Place Youth Centre, 5–7 Main Street, Pakenham.  Please arrive at My Place Youth Centre by 9:15 am for a 9:30 am departure.
Pick Up: The bus will leave the Australian Open at 3:30pm to return to My Place Youth Centre by approximately 5:00pm, depending on traffic conditions
If you require transport on the day, please contact My Place Youth Centre in advance.


Thursday 15  - Tabletop Card Games 

Cost: Free
Location: My Place Youth Centre, 5-7 Main Street Pakenham
Time: 1.30pm – 3.30pm
What to bring: Friendly competitive spirit and a sense of FUN!
What will be provided:  Snacks, fruit and water will be provided for this activity                              
Additional Information: 
Enjoy all kinds of card games with your friends! Play a classic favourite or learn a new and exciting game.
Card games only.

Friday 16  - Creative Clothes and Fashion FUN! 

Cost: $5
Location: My Place Youth Centre, 5-7 Main Street Pakenham
Time: 1.30pm – 3.30pm
What to bring: Your creative flare and any of your own clothes you want to restyle or make funky. Please wear old clothes as this activity can get messy. Aprons and gloves will be provided for this activity
What will be provided:  Snacks, fruit and water will be provided                              
Additional Information: 
Join us for a fun and creative session featuring tie-dyeing, bedazzling, and fabric painting.
Bring your own clothes or items to give them a fresh, funky look! We’ll also provide T-shirts, socks, and tote bags so you can design your own unique style.

Week 2 activities

Tuesday 20 - Real Life Monopoly

Cost: Free
Location:  My Place Youth Centre,  5 - 7 Main Street Pakenham  
Time: 1.30pm - 3.30pm
What to bring:  A friendly Competitive nature and a sense of FUN!
What will be provided: Snacks, fruit and water will be provided
Additional Information: 
Bring a favourite board game into real life and immerse yourself into the properties in Monopoly.
Who will come out the property mogul and take the WIN!


Wednesday 21 -  Gumbuya World

Cost: $45
Location: 2705 Princes Hwy, Tynong North VIC 3813
Time:  9.30am – 3.30pm
What to bring: A sense of fun, appropriate shoes for walking, rides and water area, towel, hat, bathers/swimming clothes, a change of dry clothes
What will be provided: Please bring a packed lunch or money to purchase lunch at Gumbuya World. Please note that packed lunch may only consist of snacks and sandwiches, No Hot Food or soft drinks permitted in packed lunch
Additional Information:
Drop Off / Meeting Point: Please meet at the entrance to Gumbuya World 
Please arrive at Gumbuya World by 9:30am. Gates open at 10:00 AM.
Two youth workers will be waiting at the front entrance in the morning to take attendance and provide you with a wristband for the day.  
Pick Up / Meeting Point: Youth Workers will be at the front of Gumbuya World with young people at 3.30pm for collection.
If you require transport on the day, please contact My Place Youth Centre in advance.

Thursday 22 -  Summer Slices Cooking Activity

Cost: $5
Location: My Place Youth Centre, 5-7 Main Street Pakenham 
Time:  1.30 - 3.30pm
What to bring: Your appetite, creative flare, and a container in case there are leftovers to take home.
What will be provided: You can eat what you make
Additional Information:
This activity can get messy so please wear appropriate clothing, Closed toe shoes are required. Long hair to be tied back.
Aprons and gloves will be provided on the day

Friday  23 - Chill Out Afternoon with Pizza aned Movies 

Cost: $5
Location: My Place Youth Centre, 5-7 Main Street Pakenham 
Time:  1.30 - 3.30pm
What to bring: Your relaxed and chilled Vibe and your appetite for Pizza
What will be provided: Pizza and water will be provided for this activity
Additional Information:
End the school holidays with a relaxed and chilled activity eating pizza and enjoying a movie with your mates
