Immunisations and flu vaccinations

We provide a free public immunisation service for adults and infants according to the National Immunisation Program (NIP). Sessions are held monthly at 7 locations in Cardinia Shire.

Immunisation is a simple, safe and effective way of protecting children and adults against many diseases. The risks associated with these diseases are greater than the very small risks associated with immunisation.

You do not need to book immunisation sessions.

In Victoria the routine schedule of vaccines is provided free under the National Immunisation Program and the Victorian funded immunisation program. It includes vaccines provided for children, adolescents and adults at increased risk of vaccine preventable disease. For more info go to the health.vic website

If your child’s immunisations are not up to date (according to the NIP), your GP can develop a catch-up program with you. Contact us if you have questiions about a catch-up schedule.

Ensure you have a catch-up program before you attend one of our immunisation sessions, as they take some time to develop.

Under No Jab, No Play laws, all children enrolling at an early childhood education facility or care service must present an immunisation status certificate. The certificate or statement is available from the Australia Immunisations Register or will be mailed to you after your child receives their final immunisation boosters at 4 years.

We visit secondary schools twice a year to immunise Year 7 students, and once a year for Year 10 students. Funded vaccines are provided according to the Victorian immunisation schedule. Parents and guardians must return a completed immunisation consent card to their child’s school, regardless of yes or no consent.

If your child misses a school immunisation session, contact us for information on how to catch up.

Go to Better Health Victoria website for info on immunisation in secondary schools
