Register for eNotices or request a copy of your rates

Property owners and their authorised representatives can ask for copies of rates notices.

We will not discuss a rates account with anyone other than owner of the property or someone authorised on the account by the owner of the property. This includes spouses, partners or other family members.

This form can only be submitted by the owner of the property as reflected on title.

An authorised person is defined as someone the owner has nominated to act on their behalf relating to all council rates matters.

The following outlines the role of an authorised person/organisation as defined by Cardinia Shire Council

  • Authorised persons can request a copy of a rates notice
  • Authorised persons can request a Rates Financial Statement/Reconciliation
  • Authorised persons can discuss the rates balance/payments made & make payments
  • Authorised persons can apply for and discuss Payment Plans & Financial Hardship
  • Authorised persons can request bins/making changes to bin services
  • Authorised persons can register for E-Notices
  • Authorised persons CANNOT change the mailing address of the owners or change where the rates notice is delivered to via post
  • Authorised persons CANNOT add another authorised person to the rates account
  • Authorised persons CANNOT submit a valuation objection (this includes tenants of commercial/industrial/retail spaces)

Nomination of Authorised Contact Form

To receive notices via email and have access to view all rate notices (current and past) in one place for free, you must register for eNotices.

When you have registered for eNotices, your notices will then be sent via email only.

To register for eNotices 

Go to Cardinia eNotices and enter your: 

  • email address
  • eNotice reference number (on your rates notices).

Ask us to send a rates notice copy – email or post

Due to privacy laws and in accordance with our Privacy Policy, you must be the property owner or an authorised persons to obtain that rates notice.

Rates Notices are printed and issued in August every year and cannot be edited. Therefore, you must be the owner listed on the original notice to obtain a copy.

If you are the new owner of a property, you will need to contact the rates department on 1300 787 624 to discuss your options.

Refunds will not be granted if you apply for a notice that was not issued to you. 

Please note 2024/2025 rate notices have not yet been issued, and are expected to be sent by mid August.

To get a copy of a rates notice from a previous financial year you need to pay $13.00 per notice and complete the below form.

If you require a record of rates payments made to Council, you can request a manual reconciliation or statement of transactions. Please note this may take up to 10 business days.

Fees Apply are below:

Standard Reconciliation (1x property, up to 7 years) = $30.00

Complex Reconciliation (Multiple properties, Supplementary Adjustments included or beyond 7 years) = $60.00.

There is an additional $10.00 fee for urgent requests. These are to be completed the day of the request being made.

Let us know any time your postal address changes to ensure you receive all rates correspondence, including your annual notice at your nominated address.

Even if you are receiving your rates notice via email, make sure your address details remain up to date. If we're unable to email, we'll send the rates notice to your postal address instead.
