If you see a fire that is a threat to people or property call 000 immediately.
Before you make a report
We are currently not in the Fire Danger Period.
Please note that burning off green waste for fuel reduction is allowed outside the Fire Danger Period if certain conditions are met. This is in accordance with Local Law 20.

Report possible illegal burning off
If you don't think the burn off meets the burning off conditions, please report it to us by sending an email to mail@cardinia.vic.gov.au. (If you prefer, you can report it by contacting 1300 787 624).
Risks to health from smoke pollution
Smoke can be a serious health hazard for some people, and is more likely to affect:
- those with heart or lung conditions
- pregnant women
- young children
- the elderly.
