Council elections 2020

  • Councillors are the local government representatives, elected by you, to make decisions for the local government area of Cardinia Shire.
  • Council elections in Victoria are held every 4 years on the fourth Saturday in October. 
  • Voting in the 2020 local council elections, held on Saturday 24 October, has now closed. Results will be available after Friday 13 November 2020, following the close of the postal vote receipt period.
  • Cardinia Shire will soon be comprised of 9 single councillor wards following a ward boundary review in 2020. The new ward boundaries take effect from the Council elections in October 2020. View the map of the new ward boundaries here
