Can I keep chickens or roosters?

Keeping poultry on your property

You are allowed to keep chickens but there is a limit on the number you can have, depending on the size of your property. For more info visit the 'How many animals can I keep?' webpage. 

You cannot keep roosters unless your property is more than 4000 square metres.
