Victoria's Big Build disruptions

Pakenham Roads Upgrade – Stage 3 (Racecourse Road area)

• Ongoing works on the Peet Street / Healesville–Koo Wee Rup Road intersection until late March 2026, with lane closures and changed traffic conditions.
• Ongoing works at the Railway Avenue / Racecourse Road intersection until April 2026, with a new signalised intersection expected to open in April 2026.

Metro Trains – Pakenham line

• Coaches will replace some Metro train services on the Pakenham line in March 2026, with various evening and weekend disruptions including between Westall, Berwick, Pakenham and East Pakenham.

V/Line – Nar Nar Goon level crossing

• Nar Nar Goon Road level crossing closed to all vehicles and pedestrians from 11pm Friday 20 March to 9.30pm Sunday 22 March 2026.
• Detours and traffic management will be in place, and a taxi shuttle will move pedestrians across the detour route (allow extra time).

V/Line – Gippsland line services

• Coaches will replace some V/Line services on the Gippsland line (including services to and from Traralgon and East Pakenham) on selected dates between Sunday 15 March and Wednesday 25 March 2026.
• Passengers should check temporary timetables and allow extra travel time (up to 60 minutes for some services) by visiting: https://www.vline.com.au  

Cardinia Shire Council is not delivering these works. For up‑to‑date information, please refer to the relevant State authority or transport operator’s website.
