Hills Hub room hire

The new Hills Hub will not open on 20 April as previously advised. This is to reduce Coronavirus (COVID-19) risk to our community and staff.

  • Once you’ve read the information booklet, please complete the Hills Hub room hire enquiry form to check whether the room/s you want to book are available.
  • You will get a response from us within 3 to 5 business days.

  • Once we have confirmed that the room/s are available, we will email you the Hills Hub room hire application form, along with a booking reference number.
  • The form must be submitted to us within 5 business days of it being emailed to you.  

What you need to provide with your application

  • Photo ID
  • Copy of Certificate of Currency (Public Liability Insurance 20million)*

If children are attending

  • Copy of Working with Children Check card if children are attending event/activity
  • Copy of Working with Children Check cards for any third parties in charge of children
  • Your organisation’s Child Safety Policy

As applicable

  • Copy of Certificate of Currency for any third parties engaged (e.g. DJ, caterer)
  • Evidence of any special conditions requested as part of the hire approval
  • Copy of Certificate of Currency (Professional Indemnity Insurance)
  • * Individuals and non-incorporated community groups who do not hold public liability insurance may qualify for temporary event/function insurance for once off, low-risk events/functions under Cardinia Shire Council. For more information contact the Place Maker on 1300 787 624 before submitting the room hire application form.

  • Your application will be processed within 10 to 14 business days (subject to all necessary information being provided).
  • If your application is approved, we will send you an invoice with payment options.
  • Once we receive payment and the required documentation, we will confirm your booking in writing.

When your booking is confirmed, contact the Hills Hub Place Maker on 1300 787 624 to discuss arranging access to the facility, opening and lock up procedures, security and any other matters.

  • After the event, Council will inspect the facility.
  • Where a bond has been paid, this will be refunded in accordance with the terms and conditions in the information booklet.
