Submit Stormwater Management Plans

Typical developments that require stormwater management plans include two lots with a common property driveway, Childcare or Medical Centres, Multi Lot Unit Developments, Industrial/Commercial Developments and similar. This category would also include plans required under planning permits issued for Subdivision only, i.e. driveway access and drainage connection. 

Please note:  Council must be supplied with a Professional Engineers registration number, or a certificate attached to the submission to certify that the engineering plans submitted comply with all relevant legislative requirements and standards as per the Professional Engineers Registration Act 2019. The person submitting plans must be authorised by the listed Engineer registered to practice in prescribed area of Civil Engineering.

To submit stormwater management plans, you will need a planning permit or subdivision number, plus the following documents (as relevant to your application):  

  • Full set if drainage plans, combined in a single PDF
  • Drainage computations 
  • Water sensitive urban design (WSUD) documentation (if required by permit) 
  • Legal point of discharge response letter  
  • Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMP) (if required by permit)
