About the Star Theatre

The Star Theatre is suitable for amateur and professional theatre groups, bands, school performances, dance concerts, touring artists, corporate presentations, plenary sessions, conferences and most events that involve an audience and a stage.

Hirers also get access to theatre equipment and support from the centre's theatre technician.

The theatre features:

  • 356-seat purpose-built, fully-equipped proscenium arch theatre
  • stage (9 metres x 9 metres) with full-height projection screen
  • orchestra pit
  • access for up to 15 wheelchairs
  • on-site theatre technician
  • usher and front of house staff as required
  • dressing rooms
  • loading dock
