Cardinia Shire Council Councillor code of conduct

Cardinia Shire Councillors adopted a new Code of Conduct in April this year, as required by new provisions contained within the Local Government Act 1989.

All Councillors signed the code at the Council meeting, witnessed by CEO Garry McQuillan, to confirm their commitment to the code’s principles and it is Council’s opinion that they have complied with the legislative requirements.

Council is waiting to receive further information regarding the findings of the Local Government Investigations and Compliance Inspectorate before making any decisions as to whether to challenge the decision.
