Cardinia Shire Council has welcomed an election commitment from Abi Kumar, Federal Candidate for La Trobe of $386,000 towards upgrades to Toomuc Recreation Reserve.

The upgrade works will include repainting of the second storey of the northern pavilion as well as upgrades to the heating, air conditioning and ventilation.

Cardinia Shire Mayor Councillor Jeff Springfield said council welcomed the funding pledge towards this important local community project and we are calling on other parties to match this pledge.

“As one of the fastest-growing communities in the state, it’s imperative all levels of government work together to deliver what we need for the Cardinia Shire community.”
