Christmas is coming to the Cardinia Cultural Centre this December!

The state-of-the-art performing, visual arts and function centre is set to be transformed into an immersive and interactive Christmas wonderland featuring digital artworks, live bands and workshops from Tuesday 7 December to Friday 24 December.

Cardinia Shire Mayor Councillor Jeff Springfield encouraged residents to head down to the Cultural Centre and get into the Christmas spirit this festive season.

“We’re so excited to see the Cardinia Cultural Centre transformed for this year’s Christmas festivities,” Cr Springfield said.

“Not only are community members and families invited to experience our unique activities and experiences, but they can also support our local artists and musicians who have worked so hard to bring Christmas to Cardinia this year.”

Main events, which will take place from Wednesday 15 December, include:

Tranquil - Main Gallery, Cardinia Cultural Centre

Immerse yourself in the Christmas spirit as the main gallery of the Cardinia Cultural Centre comes to life with real-time Christmas-themed projections.

Tranquil will feature three festive environments inspired by the magic of Christmas, including:

  • An arctic oasis, featuring a landform directly inspired by the North Pole.
  • Elf’s rest, showcasing a shack interior where Santa’s elves rest and recuperate.
  • The world tree: a fantasy land where the Christmas tree stands in the middle of all creation.

Warp - The Zone, Cardinia Cultural Centre

A fun, house of mirrors styled interactive installation for children to experience a warped and stylized reflection of themselves that is only limited by their imagination and movement!

Pulse - The Zone, Cardinia Cultural Centre

Have you ever wondered what a musician's voice would look like? Watch as our audio-reactive projections create artistic visuals based on the voices of our live musicians.
