Have your say on upgrades to Beaconsfield BMX track

Published: 15 November 2021

The community is invited to have their say on the proposed upgrades to the Upper Beaconsfield BMX track.

Cardinia Shire Council Mayor Councillor Jeff Springfield encourages residents to jump online and have their say.

“Set in the beautiful Upper Beaconsfield Reserve surrounded by mature trees, the pump track is an incredibly popular facility in our shire and it’s had a good workout over the last 18 months in particular.”

“We recognise the importance of facilities like these, especially for the younger members of our community and now’s the time to look at upgrades and improvements so jump online and have your say,” Cr Springfield said.

The BMX track will be designed and constructed by specialist BMX track construction company Common Ground who were also responsible for the Cockatoo Pump Track.

Council and Common Ground will consult with local schools and the Upper Beaconsfield Recreation Reserve Community Asset Committee in November and December on track design.

Community consultation on the project is open from Monday 15 November until 6 December on Creating Cardinia www.cardinia.vic.gov.au/haveyoursay
