Storm recovery community meeting in Emerald

Published: 5 July 2021

A community meeting for Cardinia Shire residents affected by the June storm event will be held at the Hills Hub in Emerald this week.

The storm recovery community meeting will run in the hall from 3.30pm to 5.30pm on Thursday 8 July. However, due to COVID-19 regulations and capacity numbers, this meeting has the potential to be held outdoors on the netball courts. Residents are encouraged to bring warm clothing.

The meeting will be a chance for residents to get updates from agencies working on storm clean-up and repair activities in Cardinia Shire, and to ask any questions.

The meeting is also a chance to gather and connect with others impacted by the storms.

Auslan interpreters will be present.

Cardinia Shire Council Deputy Mayor and Ranges Ward Councillor Jeff Springfield encouraged residents seeking information about the recent storm event to come along to the community meeting.
