Splash your way into summer in Cardinia
Cardinia Shire is gearing up for a summer of fun in the sun with the shire’s four outdoor pools now officially open to the public, in line with current COVID-19 restrictions including density limits.
The shire’s four outdoor pool facilities, including Pakenham Outdoor Pool, Koo Wee Rup Pool, Garfield Pool and Emerald Lake Wading Pool, will be open to the public throughout the months of December through to March on days where the forecast to be exceeds 26 degrees.
In January, the pools will be open every day. On days when the forecast to be is below 26 degrees, the pools will open from 12pm for a minimum of three hours. Our pool teams will then make the decision to keep the pools open for the remainder of the day if the weather turns favourable or the pools are well attended.
Casual visits, seasonal passes and aquatic memberships to all four pools are all available to purchase for individuals and families.
Cardinia Shire outdoor pools opening dates 2020-2021:
All pools:
- Throughout December, February and March the pools will open if the forecast temperature at 6pm the day prior is higher than 26 degrees.
- Throughout January the pools will open every day. On days when the forecast temperature is below 26 degrees, the pool will open from 11am for a minimum of 3 hours.
Pakenham Outdoor Pool – open now and closes Sunday 28 March 2021.
- Hours on weekends and public holidays from 1pm to 7pm and on weekdays from 3pm to 7pm.
- The school holiday period hours are from 11am to 7pm.
- Closed Christmas Day.
Koo Wee Rup Pool – open now and closes Sunday 28 March 2021.
- Hours on weekends and public holidays from 1pm to 7pm and on weekdays from 3pm to 7pm.
- The school holiday period hours are from 11am to 7pm.
- Closed Christmas Day.
Garfield Pool – open now and closes Monday 8 March 2021.
- Hours on weekends and public holidays from 1pm to 7pm and on weekdays from 3pm to 7pm.
- The school holiday period hours are from 11am to 7pm.
- Closed Christmas Day.
Emerald Lake Wading Pool - open now and closes Monday 8 March 2021.
- Hours are weekdays/weekends from 12pm to 6.30pm.
- Closed Christmas Day.
