Dalmore Road reconstruction fast-tracked

Published: 6 April 2018

Cardinia Shire Council has reached an agreement with contractors, Downer EDI Works, to fast track the reconstruction of Dalmore Road, Pakenham whilst weather conditions remain favourable.

Due to the immediate commencement of works on site, the project is now scheduled for completion by end-May, weather conditions permitting. This will enable Council to achieve an earlier completion date and limit disruption to road users and nearby residents.

There is a temporary road closure and detour in place at Dalmore Road, Pakenham between Ballarto Road and Manks Road. Appropriate signage is in place along the detour route and traffic is diverted along Ballarto Road, Koo Wee Rup Road, and Manks Road.

The temporary closure and detour may cause traffic delays while works are underway between 7am and 5pm, Monday–Friday. The road is closed to all traffic, excepting Dalmore Road residents, during these hours, however will be reopened to traffic with a reduced 60km/h speed limit in the evenings.

Council is grateful for the understanding and patience of nearby residents and road users throughout this project.
