Recycling drive and drop event – register now!

Published: 1 June 2026

Got hard‑to‑recycle items taking up space at home? This is your chance to clear them out the easy way.

Join us for our next Recycling Drive and Drop event and be part of a community effort to recover valuable materials and keep them out of landfill.

Just load up your car with accepted items and roll through, no need to get out. Our team will be there to safely unload your items and make sure everything goes to the right place for reuse, repurposing or recycling. It’s a quick, convenient way to take positive action for the environment while finally dealing with those items that can’t be recycled in your kerbside bins.

Accepted items:

  • Small e‑waste (phones, cords)
  • Polystyrene (no beans)
  • Soft plastics
  • Textiles and clothing
  • Bulky cardboard

Important info:

  • Saturday 11 July 2026, 8am–4pm
  • Council depot (18A Purton Road, Pakenham)
  • Cardinia Shire residents only
  • Registration required (spaces limited)
  • One visit per household
  • Cars only (no trailers, vans or commercial operators)

Registration opens 1 June. Pop it in your diary and be a good sort for our community and environment.

If you can’t attend, visit our A–Z waste and recycling guide for other year-round options
