Share your feedback on the Draft Onsite Wastewater Management Plan

The draft Onsite Wastewater Management Plan was developed using insights gathered during the first phase of community consultation held from 14 July to 4 August 2025. 

This draft plan reflects the ideas and concerns shared by residents, particularly those utilising onsite wastewater management systems, about the management of onsite wastewater in the Cardinia Shire community. It aims to mitigate risks to human health and the environment while ensuring sustainable wastewater management practices into the future. 

Key features and actions outlined in the draft plan include: 

• Improved assessment of risks associated with onsite wastewater systems. 
• Enhanced management strategies to minimise potential discharges beyond property boundaries. 
• Clear guidelines and timelines for addressing non-compliance issues. 

Residents are encouraged to review the draft Onsite Wastewater Management Plan and share their feedback. Feedback is essential to ensure the final plan truly meets the community's needs and aspirations.
