Update regarding distribution of rate notices
Due to circumstances beyond Council’s control, we are experiencing a delay in generating and distributing printed and electronic rate notices for the 2025-26 rating year.
Council is working closely with the rates notice service provider to ensure rate notices are issued as soon as possible.
We apologise for the delay and inconvenience this may cause.
To give ratepayers more time to pay, Council will extend the due date for the first instalment to 15 October 2025.
With around 75% of Cardinia Shire ratepayers receiving their rate notices via post, the extended due date also allows enough time for notices to hit letterboxes.
Please be aware that the due date on your rates notice for the first instalment will still be listed as 30 September 2025, as required by legislation. However, ratepayers will have until 15 October to make payment.
Council encourages ratepayers who are experiencing financial hardship to contact Council to discuss their options.
We thank our ratepayers for their patience and understanding.
