Upcoming Richmond VFL games to be hosted in Cardinia Shire

Cardinia Shire Council in partnership with Richmond Football Club and Aligned Leisure will be hosting two Richmond VFL matches at Holm Park Recreation Reserve this June and July.

  • 1pm, Saturday 3 June – Richmond vs. Werribee

  • 1pm, Saturday 8 July – Richmond vs. Casey

Cardinia Shire Mayor Cr Brett Owen said he was thrilled the Richmond Football Club’s VFL team will be visiting the shire to play off against the teams from Werribee and Casey.

“Being able to host games for the VFL at one of our own local reserves offers football fans of all ages within our community an affordable way to have a day out with friends and family, and supporting the players.”

“We’re proud of our connection with the club and it is exciting to be welcoming the Richmond VFL players to tear it up on our grounds,” Cr Brett Owen said.

Richmond CEO Brendon Gale said it marked a new and exciting initiative for the Club.

“We have a strong and loyal following in Cardinia Shire and we are excited to bring our brand of football to supporters and football fans in the region,” Gale said.

“Entry is free for Richmond members and children under the age of 15 and we hope to see a strong crowd at Holm Park Recreation Reserve supporting our VFL program.”

Free activities for children available throughout the day, including appearances by the Richmond mascots, giant inflatables and more. Entry at the gate:

  • free entry for all children under 15

  • free entry for Richmond Football Club Members

  • $5 per person for non-members.
