Cardinia Shire Council is pleased to welcome new and continuing members to its Multicultural Advisory Group who will support Council in building a culture that welcomes and celebrates diversity.

Community members were appointed to Council’s Multicultural Advisory Group (MAG) following an expression of intertest and application process late last year.

  • Afghanistan
  • Indian Australian
  • Malaysian Australian
  • Malayali Indian
  • Nepalese
  • Nigerian Australian
  • Pakistan
  • Sikh Punjabi
  • Slavic
  • South Sudanese
  • South Sudanese Australian
  • Sri Lankan
  • Tamil

Members will volunteer their time to attend bi-monthly meetings and discuss how Council can grow communication and connections with multicultural groups in Cardinia Shire.

The MAG is just one of Council’s many advisory groups who have helped inform various engagement opportunities, including Council Budget, Gambling Harm and Prevention Minimisation Policy and Council’s Engagement Policy.
