Jingle all the way to the FREE Christmas cardboard drop-off event!

Cardinia Shire residents are invited to drop off their excess cardboard and wrapping paper at the FREE Christmas cardboard drop-off event.

Hosted by Cardinia Shire Council, all cardboard and wrapping paper dropped off will be recycled, providing a sustainable solution for excess cardboard during the festive season.  

Held at Future Recycling Transfer Station in Pakenham, the event accepts unlimited residential loads of cardboard (clean and dry) and paper only.  

Dates and times:  

  • Friday 27 Dec, 8am – 4pm 
  • Saturday 28 Dec, 8am – 2:30pm 
  • Monday 30 Dec, 8am – 4pm 
  • Thursday 9 Jan, 8am – 4pm  
  • Friday 10 Jan, 8am – 4pm  
  • Saturday 11 Jan, 8am – 2:30pm  

Residents must present photo ID as proof of residence within Cardinia Shire to access the free service.    

Waste will only be accepted from residential vehicles and trailers; commercial business operators cannot use this service.  

Residents can also take advantage of the free e-waste (any item that has a battery, cord or plug, and is at the end of its useful life) and battery disposal options available at this local transfer station all year round.
