Council’s FREE green waste drop-off events are back!

Residents are encouraged to drop off their green waste for free at the upcoming Green-waste drop off events in Pakenham and Lysterfield.

Due to increased popularity, this year there are 6 days for each drop-off event, giving residents even more days to drop-off their green waste 

The service helps Cardinia Shire residents to clean up and reduce the fire fuel load on their properties throughout the year. 

Council’s green waste drop-off events are accepting residential amounts of green waste including garden prunings, tree branches and trunks (up to 30 centimetres wide and 1 metre long), weeds, grass clippings, leaves, and flowers.    

Lysterfield – Monday 5 to Saturday 10 February 2024   
Cleanaway Resource Recovery Centre, 840 Wellington Rd, Lysterfield    
Monday to Friday: 7am - 4pm 
Saturday: 8am - 12pm (midday)   

Pakenham – Monday 8 to Saturday 13 April 2024  
Future Recycling Transfer Station, 30-32 Exchange Drive, Pakenham   
Monday to Friday: 7:30am - 4pm 
Saturday: 8am – 2:30pm 

Pakenham – Monday 3 to Saturday 8 June 2024 
Future Recycling Transfer Station, 30-32 Exchange Drive, Pakenham   
Monday to Friday: 7:30am - 4pm 
Saturday: 8am – 2:30pm 

Residents must present photo ID as proof of residence within Cardinia Shire to access the free service.    

Waste will only be accepted from residential vehicles and trailers; commercial business operators cannot use this service.
