Carpark upgrades in Pakenham

Published: 3 October 2023

Works are underway to upgrade the James Street carpark in Pakenham.

From 2 October 2023, the James St carpark will be temporarily closed so upgrade sealing works can be completed.

Located next to the site of Cardinia Shire’s new Youth Hub, the James Street carpark works will include pavement construction, drainage improvements, kerb and channel and line marking.

These upgrades will improve community safety and access to community facilities and amenities, while reducing dust, pollution, and maintenance issues.

The upgraded carpark will provide the community with access to 98 car spaces, including 2 accessible spots, and will service surrounding businesses and community groups around Main Street, Pakenham.

Works are scheduled to be completed on the carpark by early February 2024, conditions permitting.
