Swapping weeds for trees

Residents can trade a bag of weeds from their property for a free locally indigenous plant at the upcoming 'Trees for Weeds Day'.

Hosted by Cardinia Shire Council and the Friends of Emerald Lake Park the event will also have experts available to help residents identify weed species and provide advice on how to treat them.

  • Date: Saturday 2 September 
  • Time: 10am to 2pm  
  • Location: Emerald Library (400b Belgrave-Gembrook Road, Emerald)
