Council welcomes funding for playground upgrades in Pakenham

Published: 21 December 2022

Cardinia Shire Council welcomes $90,000 in funding from the Victorian Government’s Our Suburbs: Living Local Fund.

This funding will support the playground upgrade works at Creekwood Park in Pakenham. Works will include installing new playground equipment, landscaping, drainage improvements and updating surrounding infrastructure including footpaths, seating, and bins.

“We are excited by the funding announcement to revitalise Creekwood Park. This project will enhance the overall amenity, access and safety at this existing park, as well as create new play opportunities for the younger members of the community,” Mayor Councillor Tammy Radford said.

Our Suburbs: Living Local Fund aims to stimulate local business activity and improve community connections, public amenity and accessibility in Metropolitan Melbourne’s activity centres, shopping strips and suburban neighbourhoods.

Upgrade works in Creekwood Park are scheduled for early to mid 2023, conditions permitting.
