Published: 14 November 2022

The Southern Region Disability Inclusion Week provides an opportunity for people with disabilities to take part in activities and connect with their community.

From 14 - 20 November, there will be something for all with sports and dance workshops, gardening, and photography lessons!

Local Cardinia Shire events include:

  • Paddle Whackers Table Tennis at Cardinia Life Pakenham
  • Sit Down Exercise at Beaconsfield Community Centre
  • Sit Down Board Games at Beaconsfield Community Centre

The Southern Region Disability Inclusion Week is presented in partnership with Cardinia Shire Council, the City of Casey and City of Greater Dandenong.

Cardinia Shire Mayor Cr Tammy Radford said local government has a critical role in encouraging and supporting active participation in community life, and ensuring that its services are accessible, equitable and inclusive to all residents.

“Cardinia Shire Council is committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive and accessible community – and we’re so pleased to be a partner presenting this year’s Southern Region Disability Inclusion Week activities,” she said.
