Council acknowledges funding pledge – Lang Lang Bypass

Published: 11 November 2022

Ahead of the Victorian government election, Cardinia Shire Council is calling for continued support and funding across a range of community priorities – including better, safer local roads.

Cardinia Shire Council acknowledges the funding pledge of $1 million towards completing the planning works for a Lang Lang Bypass by state Liberal candidate for Bass, Aaron Brown.

The proposed Lang Lang bypass would aim to divert heavy vehicles away from the town centre, schools and pedestrian activity.

As a substantial capital works project with a cost estimate of $50 million, Council continues to advocate for additional funding support from the state and federal governments to implement this important community project.

Alongside better, safer local roads, key priorities for the council’s advocacy efforts include better public transport, mental health services, access to jobs, community places and services, outdoor spaces, protection for our environment and better sport and recreation facilities.
