Sustainable Style Sunday - a celebration of Ethical Clothing Australia week

'Sustainable Style Sunday' is a slow fashion showcase to celebrate Ethical Clothing Australia week, hosted by three local Ethical Clothing Australia accredited brands from the Dandenong Ranges.
Three Ethical Clothing Australia accredited slow fashion labels from the Dandenong Ranges (megsmithmakes, Spiritus Eco Clothing and by Audrey & Grace) are together hosting an ethical fashion showcase called 'Sustainable Style Sunday' - celebrating 25 years of Ethical Clothing Australia. The afternoon will be held at the Hills Hub in Emerald, and include: - a slow fashion market featuring quality pieces from each of the three labels, - an expert presentation from Dr Carol Tan (RMIT) on how to spot greenwashing and discover brands that truly meet their sustainability claims, - a demonstration by Simone Thorpe from Style with Soul on how to curate a sustainable wardrobe that accommodates your values and life transitions, - a thought-provoking panel discussing the challenges and future of sustainable fashion, - a special curated pre-loved fashion market courtesy of Foothills Community Care op shop. Cardinia Shire Council are also providing a textile recycling bin for your old clean textiles, and to top things off we will be providing delicious light catering! If you are interested in browsing beautiful, ethically made fashion, or are curious to learn of how the fashion industry tackles sustainability, or even if you are a student studying fashion - the afternoon is perfect for you! 1-4pm Sunday 5th October - Hill Hub Emerald | $30 per person or 2 for $50 | $1 from every ticket goes to Foothills Community Care op shop Tickets available at https://events.humanitix.com/sustainable-style-sunday-ethical-clothing-australia-week-2025 For more information please email hello@megsmithmakes.com.
