- Narrow erect shrub.

- Leaves
- Tiny egg-shaped to lance-shaped leaves 2-6mm x 1-3mm, upper surface smooth or slightly wrinkled, pale sparse hairs below, margins curved under, tip pointed. Leaves often crowded. Stipules dark brown, tiny.

- Terminal heads of pea flowers.

- Growing conditions
- Well drained soil in moist to damp foothill forests. Frost tolerant. Prefers partial shade but will grow in full sun..
- Commonly used for
- Very floriferous compact plant which looks good grown in swarms under trees. Pruning can extend the life of the shrub.
