Description
Open erect to weeping shrub with aromatic foliage.

Leaves
Small narrow, shiny leaves 3-12mm x 0.5mm, sometimes sticky on top, hairy below, margins rolled under.
Flowers
Long, narrow to plumed clusters to 9cm hanging at ends of branches. Red to brownish bracts enclose small florets.

Growing conditions
Poor, dry and stony soil in disturbed areas. Pioneer plant. Full sun, semi shade.
Commonly used for
Interesting weeping shrub for dry, hard to grow areas. Will establish under trees.
