Description
Perennial woody herb or subshrub spreading by suckers to form a clump.

Leaves
Soft dark green leaves are divided and lobed, from 1.5-4cm x 4-30mm.
Flowers
Single daisy flowerheads held above the foliage, local form tends to be pink-mauve. Massed flowering.

Growing conditions
Moist well drained clays and shallow rocky soils in forest areas. Light frosts. Full sun, dappled and semi shade.
Commonly used for
A popular garden plant available in mauves, lilac, pink and white. Good for containers, hanging baskets, rockeries, embankments and underplanting of trees. Soil binding.
