Community Leadership Program applications closing soon!
Submit now for Cardinia Shire Council’s Community Leadership Program 2024 before applications close on Sunday 7 April 2024.
The Community Leadership Program prepares participants for success in their community leadership roles.
In 2024, the program will run from May to October 2024 and take up to 22 participants through a unique curriculum that will enable them to learn more about themselves, others, and their community in their pursuit to lead more effectively.
The program builds and enhances leadership skills and confidence, cultivates relationships and networking skills, and deepens participants’ understanding of local community and Council. It explores different leadership styles and behaviours, self-awareness, personal growth opportunities, persuasive communication, and effective decision-making.
Throughout the program, participants will also benefit from the shared knowledge and experiences of a host of guest speakers, other local leaders, and program alumni.
Applications are open to community leaders who are:
- at least 18 years of age
- a Cardinia Shire Council resident
- already involved in the local community in some way
- able to attend all program sessions.
Applicants should review the information available on Council’s website, including the FAQs, to ensure they are eligible and able to commit to the program requirements.
