Lake Side Sounds gears up for final show!

Published: 24 February 2020

Strap in for the second Lake Side Sounds concert - set to be an event not to be missed!

Be at Emerald Lake Park to witness headliner folk-pop trio Parkville, as well as indie pop artist Sage Mim as they take to the Lake Side Sounds stage for the final event of 2020, this Sunday 1 March.

The event is the third and final concert brought to residents by Cardinia Shire Council and 3MDR 97.1fm.

The free concerts have featured a fantastic line-up of local musicians, including Cardinia Shire’s very own 2019 music residency artists and the Cardinia Civic Concert Band.

The series kicked off on Sunday 2 February with a spectacular performance from the Cardinia Civic Concert Band. Living up to their role as the shire’s premier band. Performing a wide variety of music. Audience members were even treated to participate in drum circles between sets!

Sunday 16 February was the first of the brand new Lake Side Sounds events, with Cardinia Shire’s very own 2019 music residency artists taking to the stage. Future stars Coby DeMaria, Edward Willoughby, Lili Violet and Sophie Louise took to the stage to strut their stuff while headliners and Triple-J regulars Feelds entertained with their soundscape of crafty storytelling and indie-rock.

The café at Emerald Lake Park will be open throughout each event, and the park has plenty of great activities for kids of all ages to enjoy. More information about Emerald Lake Park can be found at

Please note that no alcohol or glass is permitted at any of these events. In the event of a CFA-declared Code Red or on Extreme Fire Danger Rating, or in other extreme weather conditions, Emerald Lake Park will be closed and the concerts will be cancelled.
