Recycling update, November 2019

Published: 12 November 2019

Cardinia Shire Council is pleased to advise residents that 100 per cent of kerbside recycling collections are once again being processed.

Council’s recycling processor, Polytrade Recycling, has confirmed that it will be accepting and processing 100 per cent of Cardinia Shire’s kerbside recycling material from Monday 11 November 2019.

Since August 2019, Polytrade has been accepting and processing a proportion of the recycled material from Cardinia Shire, whilst working to upgrade their facilities and increase their capacity.

Council would like to thank Cardinia Shire residents for their understanding and patience during this time.

Residents can assist by sorting their waste correctly and providing Polytrade with only the correct materials.

Please remember to keep the following items OUT of your yellow-lidded kerbside bin:

  • No bags, items must be loose in the recycling bin
  • No soft plastics
  • No clothing, fabric or shoes
  • No polystyrene
