New grants round open: Heritage Grants 2018–19

Published: 18 May 2018

Applications are now open for Cardinia Shire Council’s Heritage Grants 2018–19, providing funding up to $5,000 to repair or conserve places of heritage significance.

These grants are available to eligible sites for  projects, including:

  • repairs and conservation work
  • the development of conservation management or interpretation plans

Only project sites identified on the Cardinia Shire Planning Scheme Heritage Overlay are eligible for funding. Applications for funding of staged projects will be also considered.

Cardinia Shire Mayor Cr Collin Ross said the grants assist the community to undertake projects that improve the condition and long-term conservation of places and sites of heritage significance across the shire.

“If you have a project in mind which would preserve and promote a heritage site and could be completed before 30 April 2019, then a Heritage Grant may be a good way for you to supplement your budget,” Cr Ross said.

Applications close 3pm Thursday 28 June 2018.
