COVID-19 multicultural support services

  • COVID-19 and the Victorian Government restrictions have resulted in a challenging year for many Cardinia residents including migrants, refugees and temporary visa holders.
  • Cardinia Shire Council has launched a multicultural support service to ensure these communities continue to receive the help they need.
  • Contact Cardinia Council on 1300 787 624 Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm or email mail@cardinia.vic.gov.au to be connected with one of Cardinia’s Multicultural Support Officers.
  • If you don't speak English, there is COVID-19 information available in your language.

The telephone support service is manned by qualified council officers with strong connections to, and experience working with, multicultural communities.

The service will link callers to a range of support services including food, clothing, financial aid, housing, mental health as well as employment advice and assistance.

This free and confidential service is available to Cardinia Shire residents from migrant, refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds until February 2021.

Opening hours are Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.

Contact Cardinia Council on 1300 787 624 or email mail@cardinia.vic.gov.au to be connected with one of Cardinia’s Multicultural Support Officers.
