COVID-19 Community Recovery Committee
About
The most effective long-term disaster recovery is led by communities. Those impacted by disasters are in the best position to understand and communicate what their community needs for ongoing recovery.
The committee
In response to the impacts of COVID-19 pandemic across Cardinia Shire, a COVID-19 Community Recovery Committee has been formed to address increased mental health and social isolation issues as well as employment and financial insecurity.
The COVID-19 Community Recovery Committee will support community wellbeing during recovery as well as advise on community needs and priorities.
Chaired by Councillor Tammy Radford, the committee held its first meeting on 19 January 2021 and will continue to meet regularly.

The COVID-19 Community Recovery Committee is made up of 11 community members and is chaired by a Cardinia Councillor.
