Cardinia Cultural Centre Artist’s Capsule: Ashleigh O'Lynn
Cardinia Cultural Centre’s newest mini-exhibition space is here! Every six weeks the CCC Artist’s Capsule will feature a new and innovative creation from artists far and wide.
From 27 February to 7 April, the capsule will feature an exciting new artwork titled ‘Windows’ by local artist Ashleigh O’Lynn.
Ashleigh is a Cardinia Shire local and has been an artist her whole life. She studied sculpture at university and has recently shifted her focus toward two-dimensional mixed-media art.
Ashleigh loves to push the boundaries of artistic mediums and experiment with a variety of art forms. She also does face painting, balloon twisting, graphic design, and more.
Ashleigh says of her work: “Windows are a preview into life and the many changes that we can experience as humans. They connect the man-made and our natural world. I have created a series of windows using cardboard relief prints and then illustrating in those windows with gouache and pens. This began with creating a piece a day for the Inktober 22 challenge, and I have now continued the series with my own set of prompts.”
