Project description
The Perc Allison pavilion at Beaconsfield Recreation Reserve is getting a major upgrade.
Works will include:
• unisex and universally accessible change rooms for players and umpires
• a first aid and injury prevention/ strapping room
• a gym
• covered spectator viewing area.
This project is valued at more than $630,000. The Australian Government’s Sport Australia provided $500,000, with Council contributing the rest.
Progress update
Detailed designs and tender documents are being prepared.
Benefits for the community
With significantly increasing female participation in organised sport, this project will ensure all ages and genders are able to use the facility equitably and safely.
Community consultation
Council officers have met with the Crown land committee of management several times to develop the project scope and agree to a concept plan.
