| Media release: 5 November 2009 | | Cardinia Ranges Farmers’ Market at Pakenham Racecourse on Saturday 14 November will offer one stop shopping for the coming festive season.
Stallholders will be taking orders for varieties of real free range meats as well as a wide selection of delicious foods, sauces, olive oils and honeys.
The choice of free range meat includes Nicole Pryor’s Pindarri corn fed free range poultry, The Gypsy Pig’s rare breed pork and lamb and Family Farmed Meats who specialise in free range beef.
Market Manager Suzzi Carter-Madej said this will be the perfect opportunity for shoppers to talk to farmers and producers about what they would like to order for December’s market.
“Local farmers who raise the meat will be happy to talk to shoppers about the best cuts for delicious quick meals as ‘fire up the barbie season’ officially gets underway.
“Roasting meat orders will also be a hot ticket to ensure sure shoppers don’t miss out for Christmas,” Ms Carter-Madej said.
Summer signals the return of wonderful smelling sweet strawberries with great value packs on offer and the markets free range eggs are in bountiful supply.
Shoppers can also order and buy new hazelnut chocolate treats produced at the Robbins Worstershire Sauce stall and pick up fresh potatoes, tomatoes, salad greens and farmhouse cheeses.
Cardinia Ranges Farmers’ Market will be held at Pakenham Racecourse, Racecourse Road, Pakenham, from 8am to 12pm.
Entry is a gold coin donation which will support Lakeside Primary School’s fund raising program.
